Las Vegas Raiders need to improve in sixth-ranked AFC West

Las Vegas Raiders Poised for Success in 2024 Under Coach Antonio Pierce and GM Tom Telesco

The Las Vegas Raiders are gearing up for the 2024 NFL season with high hopes under the leadership of Coach Antonio Pierce and General Manager Tom Telesco. Despite finishing 8-9 in 2023 with mid-season changes at head coach and quarterback, the Raiders are showing promise this offseason.

Hondo Carpenter Sr. has projected the Raiders to finish 10-7 and secure a wildcard berth in the upcoming season. The Raiders play in the sixth-strongest division in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus, with tough competition from teams like the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Denver Broncos.

While PFF was least optimistic about the Raiders’ chances, citing uncertainties at the quarterback position, the team has made strategic acquisitions to bolster their roster. Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and offensive linemen Cody Whitehair and Andrus Peat bring depth and experience to the team, complementing the new brand of football that Coach Pierce is instilling.

As the Raiders set their sights on the long term, fans can expect an exciting season ahead with a mix of seasoned veterans and promising young talent.
