Aer Lingus to Launch Direct Flights from Dublin to Las Vegas
Aer Lingus has announced exciting news for travelers looking to jet off to Las Vegas, as the airline will now offer direct flights from Dublin Airport starting on October 25. The long-awaited route will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, until April 29, 2025.
With flights priced from €499 return, including taxes and charges, eager travelers can now book their seats for this new route. Aer Lingus’ CEO, Lynne Embleton, expressed her excitement about fulfilling the airline’s ambition to fly to Las Vegas, calling it a significant moment for both the company and its customers.
The flight, EI50, will depart Dublin at 15.20 and arrive at Harry Reid International Airport at 17.50 local time. The return flight, E151, will depart Las Vegas at 19.35 and land back in Dublin at 13.10 the following day. The flights will be operated on a wide-body Airbus A330-300.
Las Vegas officials are equally thrilled about the new route, with Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, welcoming Aer Lingus to the city for the first time. The direct flight is expected to attract more Irish travelers and visitors from Europe to explore all that Las Vegas has to offer.
In addition to the city’s famous resorts, casinos, and iconic Strip, Las Vegas has expanded its sports and entertainment offerings in recent years, with events like the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix and Super Bowl LVIII drawing crowds. Irish visitors have also flocked to the city for events such as Conor McGregor’s UFC fights and U2’s concert series at the Sphere.
Aer Lingus has strategically timed its winter route to coincide with both the October mid-term break and the 2025 Easter holidays, making it an attractive option for holidaymakers. The new route to Las Vegas is part of Aer Lingus’ broader transatlantic expansion, which includes recent additions like flights to Denver, Colorado, and Minneapolis-St. Paul in Minnesota.
With a total of 19 transatlantic services from Dublin and Shannon, as well as routes from Manchester to North America and Barbados, Aer Lingus is solidifying its position as a key player in transatlantic travel. The airline’s ‘Dub Hub’ strategy aims to establish Dublin as a hub airport for travel between Europe and North America, offering travelers more convenient and direct flight options.
Overall, the introduction of direct flights from Dublin to Las Vegas is set to make travel to the vibrant city more accessible and convenient for Irish travelers, opening up a world of entertainment, leisure, and adventure in the iconic destination.
