Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports responds to Travis Kelce’s decision to withdraw from the annual ‘Beer Olympics’ event in Las Vegas.

Barstool Sports’ Will Compton Addresses Travis Kelce’s Withdrawal from Beer Olympics Event

The annual Barstool Sports Beer Olympics took a hit this year as Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, had to withdraw from the event scheduled for June 25. The news was revealed by Will Compton, host of the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast, who received a call from Kelce himself informing him of the decision.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy didn’t hold back in his response to the news, taking a jab at Compton for the scheduling conflict. Portnoy referenced a previous event hosted by Jeff Lowe that had to be moved to accommodate the Kelces, highlighting the ongoing issue of conflicting schedules within the company.

Despite the setback, Compton made efforts to adjust the date of the Beer Olympics to accommodate the Kelces, but the reasons for their withdrawal have not been disclosed. However, Compton assured fans that the event will go on, with notable participants like George Kittle and DeForest Buckner returning to defend their title from last year.

The Beer Olympics, known for its mix of sports and drinking games, has become a highly anticipated event within the Barstool Sports community. While the absence of the Kelces may be disappointing, fans can still look forward to an exciting competition with a lineup of talented athletes and personalities.
