A Las Vegas substitute teacher, Re’Kwon Smith, found himself in hot water after a heated argument with a teen student escalated into a physical altercation. The incident, which took place at Valley High School, was captured on video and has since gone viral.

According to reports, the confrontation began when Smith asked the student to leave the classroom after allegedly shouting a racial slur. The situation quickly turned physical when the student placed his hands on Smith, leading to a brawl in the crowded hallway.

Video footage shows both parties exchanging punches, with Smith eventually knocking the student to the ground. Despite attempts by a campus safety monitor and other students to intervene, Smith continued to land punches on the student.

Smith, who had been working for the Clark County School District since November 2023, has been removed from the substitute teacher pool and is no longer eligible to work at the district.
