Las Vegas Family Hit by Car at Bus Stop: 2 Killed, 3 Injured

Frank Walkin, the father of the family, is grieving the loss of his daughter, Amber Higgins, her husband, Robert Higgins, and their son, Erik, who were killed in the accident. Amber is currently in a coma at the hospital, while her two younger children, Isabella and Roman, are seriously injured.

The driver, 64-year-old Cynthia Phelps, was under the influence and drove the wrong way into the family at a high speed, resulting in the tragic outcome. Lt. Brett Ficklin of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Traffic Bureau emphasized the preventable nature of such accidents and the importance of not driving impaired.

Phelps faces multiple charges related to the incident and is currently held on a $500,000 bail. The community has rallied behind the grieving family, with a GoFundMe account set up to help with funeral and medical expenses.
