Bob Tasca III Secures Historic Triple Holeshot Win at NHRA 4-Wide Nationals
Bob Tasca III made history on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, securing just the third triple holeshot win in NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series history. Tasca’s impressive victory came at the 24th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, where he claimed his second career four-wide win in the Funny Car category.
In a thrilling final quad that included top competitors Austin Prock, Matt Hagan, and Ron Capps, Tasca’s 11,000-horsepower Ford Mustang crossed the finish line in 3.915-seconds at 329.75 mph. Despite posting the slowest time among the four drivers, Tasca’s lightning-fast .034 reaction time proved to be the deciding factor, allowing him to edge out his opponents and clinch his first win of the 2024 season and the 16th of his career.

In Pro Stock, Jeg Coughlin Jr. completed a weekend sweep with a thrilling victory at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals. Coughlin’s Scag Power Equipment car crossed the finish line in 6.616 at 207.18 mph, earning him his first win in nearly four years and his 66th career victory. Coughlin’s exceptional performance throughout the weekend, including stellar reaction times and consistent runs, showcased his skill and determination on the track.
