As we build out VegasNewsWire.com, we’d love to hear from you about the content that you want to see on this site. We are frequent travelers to Vegas and have a long and fun family history there. My grandparents even built a small cabin in rural Texas that was eventually called “The Full House.”
Why Vegas NewsWire
There are a bunch of Vegas blogs. Some focus on parties, a lot naturally focus on betting gambling and odds on specific sports, and some even are geared towards bacheloerette parties.
We’ll have some of that on here, it’s hard to avoid showing content on that kind of thing. But we’re really trying to reach a certain audience – one who is a bit more mature (although some of us can still act like kids!), affluent, and want to find entertainment that suits them.
Las Vegas Hotel Reviews and Comparisons
While some people prefer staying downtown, a whole lot more stay on the Strip. Unless we hear from readers otherwise, we’re going to focus content on the Strip. This could be for the person who comes to Vegas for fun, for work, or for trade shows. The trade show and expo business is booming in Las Vegas!
We’ll be looking at, comparing, and reviewing different hotels in Vegas, looking at things that matter to people. Going from site to site to do the comparisons is time-consuming, so we want to do the research for you, and be as helpful as possible in the real-world. Things we’ll look at will include:
- Room sizes. Which offer the most space? When traveling, this can be really important. We’ll offer side-by-side detailed comparisons.
- Hotel room deals. What’s the price for the room size? How does that compare? When is the best time to go to Vegas, for the best Hotel deal?
- Hotel amenities. Some resort hotels, like the Paris Las Vegas, have a bit smaller casino footprint than some others, and offer fantastic restaurants such as Mon Ami Gabi. Others like Caesars Palace, are enormous and can be overwhelming. We’ll provide you with this kind of relevant information. We’ll share our opinions on noise levels as well.
- Lobby bars and restaurant choices. Some bars are super noisy and known for being raucous, others are more cozy. Our readers want to know what’s in store for them, so they can stay comfortable. We’ll be sure to call this out. And restaurant choices are super important amenities to know about before you go.
Offbeat things to do in Vegas
Did you know that Las Vegas is one of the top destinations in the United States to rent a motorcycle? It’s true! Services such as Twisted Road offer people the ability to rent motorcycles from other people and enjoy the open road away from the crowded Vegas sidewalks.
We’ll be providing reviews of programs like motorcycle rentals, and other offbeat features.
Vegas as a family destination
It’s becoming more frequent to see kids and strollers in Las Vegas. We want to showcase some fun things to do – as well as provide firsthand accounts from teenagers who want to talk about their experiences and what they were able to do as they tagged along with their older siblings and families.
Sometimes good ideas can go sideways. For example, “we have dinner plans at a different hotel, let’s just walk there” can turn into a longer, hotter ordeal than originally planned. We’ll provide you with maps as well as an exclusive handy walking guide showing you the distances between hotels on the Strip.

Las Vegas Entertainment
There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas, so we want to organize it for you.
We plan to provide a detailed calendar of upcoming events, as well as serve as a showcase of reviews. If we can go behind the scenes to show you how certain productions (such as The Sphere) are built, we will make that happen.
Las Vegas News
There are lots of options for Las Vegas news, but we want to help hit the highlights. It’s good to know which companies are up, and which are down, to help you better evaluate where you might find the best deals and the friendliest staff.
Our philosophy on this is a little like finding the right blackjack table to sit at, or which craps table to choose. For example, if someone at the craps table gets on a hot roll, that’s where you want to be, not necessarily at the table that looks deserted and sad.
