Rio Update: New President, Construction Progress, Wine Cellar Reinstated

“Rio Resort Update: New President, Lounge, and Tavern Coming Soon”

Rio Casino Resort in Las Vegas is undergoing a major transformation with the appointment of a new resort president, Patrick Miller, replacing Trevor Scherrer due to medical reasons. The resort is also unveiling new venues, including Lapa Lounge and Luckley Tavern & Grill, as part of its rebirth under Dreamscape ownership.

Miller, a seasoned casino executive with experience at MGM Resorts International, is set to lead Rio into a new era of success. The resort’s direction has already been set with a focus on operations and a strong investment in its future.

Lapa Lounge, inspired by the vibrant energy of Rio de Janeiro, will offer a unique experience with a blend of Tijuca National Forest charm and high-end allure. Luckley Tavern & Grill, on the other hand, will bring the convivial atmosphere of traditional English pubs to Las Vegas.

In addition to these new venues, Rio’s transformation includes a relit exterior with programmable LEDs, renovated rooms, overhauled pool complex, upgraded marquees, and a new food court. The reopening of the Wine Cellar with manager Hung Nguyen adds to the excitement of Rio’s revival.

With these changes and more on the horizon, Rio is poised to reclaim its former glory and win over guests with its fresh offerings. Stay tuned for more updates on Rio’s exciting transformation.
