Celebrating the Life of Geraldine “Geri” Gewerth

HENDERSON, Nev. — The community of Henderson, Nev. is mourning the loss of a beloved resident, Geraldine “Geri” Gewerth, who passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the age of 89. Geri’s life will be celebrated by her family at a later date, with arrangements entrusted to Las Vegas Cremation.

Geri was born on October 8, 1934, in Morton, Minn., to her late parents Nellie and George Fullerton. She married Herbert “Herb” Gewerth on March 12, 1951, and together they built a life in various Minnesota communities before settling in Henderson, Nev. in 2017 to be closer to family.

A devoted member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont, Minn. and St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Henderson, Nev., Geri was known for her love of bingo, cards, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed coffee with her Fairmont friends and cherished moments watching MN Twins and Vikings games with her loved ones.

Geri is survived by her loving husband, Herbert “Herb” Gewerth, her children Linda (Dale) Range and Gary (Joy) Gewerth, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, and several siblings.

Although Geri may not have been rich or famous, she was undoubtedly loved by all who knew her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness and warmth.

The community of Henderson and beyond will remember Geri Gewerth for the love she shared and the impact she made during her lifetime. May she rest in peace.
